Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
Meet the Orlando Team Behind Kindling Chimney Orlando
Danny Cortes built this Orlando crew around a simple idea: the person who shows up at your door should be someone you’d trust to walk through your house unsupervised. Every technician on this team has passed a background check, wears a uniform, and follows the same C.A.R.E. values on every single visit. They sweep chimneys in College Park, inspect fireplaces in Winter Park, and repair liners in Thornton Park. What unites them isn’t a training manual. It’s the habit of treating someone’s living room like their own. These are the people you’ll actually meet when you call (850) 940-3442.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marcus T. – Lead Technician, CSIA-Certified
Marcus has spent eleven years working on chimneys across Central Florida, and he’s seen just about everything the Orlando climate can throw at a masonry flue. He’s certified through the Chimney Safety Institute of America and handles the most complicated jobs we take on: relining, crown rebuilds, and firebox repairs that need a steady hand. Marcus is the guy who can tell you in plain English whether a crack is cosmetic or structural. Outside of work, he restores old Triumph motorcycles, which means he understands patience and torque settings. If your chimney has a genuine problem, you want Marcus on the ladder.
Elena R. – Senior Installer, Repair Specialist
Elena joined our team after six years doing new-build fireplace installations, so she thinks like an installer first: how should this have been put together, and where did the original builder cut corners. She’s our go-to for HeatShield and DuraFlex liner work, and she’s meticulous about documenting every repair with before-and-after photos. Elena grew up in a house with a wood-burning fireplace in Apopka, and she still remembers the smell of pine on the first cold night of the year. That memory is why she insists on leaving every hearth cleaner than she found it, down to the last spec of ash.
Sam W. – Service Coordinator
If you call Kindling Chimney Orlando, there’s a good chance Sam is the voice on the other end. He’s the one who asks about your fireplace type, your last sweep, and whether you have pets that might need a quiet arrival. Sam has a background in residential property management, so he understands how much families value knowing exactly who’s coming and roughly what it’ll cost. He keeps a running list of every neighborhood in Orange County where we’ve worked, from Baldwin Park to Dr. Phillips, so nothing surprises the crew when they pull up. Ask him about his ongoing quest to perfect Cuban coffee. He’ll talk.
Danny Cortes – Owner
Danny started with Kindling Chimney Orlando because he saw too many Central Florida homes get sold chimney work they didn’t actually need. His rule is simple: never recommend anything a family can’t verify with their own eyes. He has a habit of walking through the house with the homeowner before the crew starts, pointing out exactly what he’s looking at and what it means for those wood floors and that cream-colored couch. Danny prefers camera evidence over salesmanship. He’d rather tell you your chimney can wait another season than sell you a liner you don’t need, and he stands behind that approach with the 365-Day Done Right Promise. When he’s not on a roof, he’s usually fishing somewhere around the St. Johns River and pretending the heat doesn’t bother him.
One Standard, Every Job
Every person on this Orlando team works to the same standard that the entire Kindling network has followed since Cedarwell’s founding in 2003, with each location independently owned and operated. That means shoe covers and drop cloths go down before the ladder comes off the truck. Nothing in your living room gets moved without asking first. Every job includes a written price before work starts, and a photo of the clean-up before the crew packs up. Our technicians use professional-grade materials from brands like DuraFlex, HeatShield, Gelco, Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield, because a repair built with the right product is a repair that doesn’t come back. And behind all of it sits the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if something isn’t right, Kindling makes it right, no fine print and no runaround. That’s not a slogan we put on a magnet. It’s the reason Marcus checks his work twice, Elena documents every layer of what she installed, and Sam confirms the details before the crew ever leaves the shop in Orlando. When a family calls (850) 940-3442, they’re not getting a faceless dispatch system. They’re getting people who live and work in this city, who know what heat and humidity do to a flue in this specific climate, and who answer to a standard that is spelled out in writing.
